    Greek Orange Pie


    2 eggs
    1 2% yogurt container
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 1/2 baking powder sachet
    1 vanilla
    1 package pie crust
    1 cup olive oil
    zest from 2 oranges

    For the syrup
    1 cup orange juice
    2 cups of water
    1 1/2 cup sugar


    Crush the crust with your hands into small pieces. In a bowl mix all ingredients: olive oil, yogurt, eggs, sugar, zest, vanilla, baking. Then add the crust and stir well until all liquid has been absorbed.

    Place mixture in a baking dish and bake at 180°C on the low rack. When the pie is ready it should be golden brown.

    For the syrup, place all ingredients in a small saucepan and boil for 5-7 minutes. Keep the syrup warm and when the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and drizzle the hot syrup.

    Allow to cool and serve.
